When the x-axis is V-type centerline direction,θ0 is phase constant, the bank angle is 45 deg. for approx. 53 deg. and approx. 127 deg., and 90 deg. for approx. 30 deg., and 0 deg. for approx. 143 deg., and mrec = mp +(1-cp )mr . (mp and mr are piston mass and connecting rod mass, respectively, and cp is Lp /L, where L is a distance between the centers of the piston pin and crank pin of a connected rod and Lp is a distance between the piston pin center and connecting rod gravity center). Thus the bank angle can be set freely so as to increase the degree of freedom of design.
