<p>PURPOSE: To remove unnecessary sticking matter such as paper powder from optical sensors by providing a means which makes air, blown out from a fan for cooling a motor driving the conveyance of a paper sheet, flow in and make it flow out toward the sensors that are provided on the conveyance path of the paper sheet and detect the paper sheet passing. CONSTITUTION: The motor 9 drives paper sheet feed impellers 20 and 25 to rotate. The motor 9 is provided with a pipe 9 into which the air from the cooling fan flows, and the pipe 8 branches out halfway into a pipe 6 and a pipe 7; and the tip 6a of the pipe 6 is directed to the optical sensor 3 and the tip 7a of the pipe 7 is directed to the optical sensor 4. In this constitution, the air from the cooling fan rotating driven by the motor 9 flows in the pipe 8 and is shunt to the pipes 6 and 7 and blown out of the tips 6a and 7a to the optical sensors 3 and 4. Consequently, unnecessary paper powder sticking on the optical sensors 3 and 4 is blown away to automatically clean the optical sensors 3 and 4.</p> |
