PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for filling a mold capable of largely avoiding an optical flaw generated in a case filling the mold from the top part thereof by filling the mold from the bottom portion thereof. SOLUTION: A mold 10 for producing an optical lens is formed from two molding shells 11A, 11B arranged at edge parts and the annular closure member 12 provided around the molding shells and constituting a molding cavity 13 along the molding shells and a molding material 18 is introduced in the molding cavity 13 from the casting opening provided to the closure member 12 in order to fill the mold 10. The casting opening is provided to the lower part of the molding cavity 13. This mold filling method is adapted to the production of a spectacle lens.
