PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain high-density images from the time of initial driving by specifying the surface roughness of a conductive resin layer formed on the outer periphery of a shaft and the thickness of a silicone oil coating layer formed on this resin layer. CONSTITUTION: The conductive resin layer 13 roughened to a rugged surface in a circumferential direction is formed on the outer periphery of the shaft 12 and the silicone oil coating layer 14 is formed in the recessed parts of the rugged rough surface of the conductive resin layer 13. Namely, >=80% of the silicone oil coating layer 14 is formed in the recessed parts of the rugged rough surface of the conductive resin layer 13. The silicone oil coating layer 14 is formed slightly on the projecting parts as well. The thickness of the conductive resin layer 13 is preferably set in a range of 10 to 100μm. The surface roughness Ra in the circumferential direction of the rugged rough surface formed on this surface is specified to 0.3 to 1.5μm and the thickness of the silicone oil coating layer 14 is specified to <=3μm, more preferably <=2μm. As a result, sufficient electrostatic charging power is obtd. from the initial stage and the good image density is obtd. from the beginning. |
