PURPOSE: To obtain the composition containing two kinds of specific acrylic copolymers, excellent in storage stability, low temperature curability, solvent resistance, abrasion resistance, weatherability and decorativity, and useful for top clear coats, etc. CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises (A) an acrylic monomer containing 0.5-40wt.% of monomer units wherein 50-98% (preferably 80-95%) of acid anhydride groups are half ester groups, (B) an epoxy group-containing acrylic polymer, and, if necessary, (C) a hydroxyl group-having acrylic polymer. The component A is obtained by polymerizing a polymerizable monomer mixture containing an acid anhydride group-having monomer which is converted into anα,β- dicarboxylic acid monoester, or by polymerizing a polymerizable monomer mixture containing a monomer having a dibasic acid anhydride group and subsequently half-esterifying the acid anhydride groups with an alkanol.
