摘要 PURPOSE: To form a photosensitive layer on the surface of a conductive substrate subjected to cutting with a cutting tool, etc., by forming the surface to be formed with the photosensitive layer in such a manner that the surface has the surface roughness and the max. waving of filter waves within a specific range and to prevent the generation of stripe noises in formed images even if halftone image formation is executed by using such photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION: Rubber 2 is rounded to the cylindrical shape and a rubber plate 2 formed to the cylindrical shape is inserted into the inner peripheral side of the conductive substrate 1 and is tightly adhered to the inner peripheral surface of the conductive substrate 1. The inner peripheral surface of the rubber plate 2 is simultaneously pressed to the outer peripheral surface. The outer peripheral surface 1a of the conductive substrate 1 is cut by using the cutting tool in the state of tightly adhering the rubber plate 2 to the inner peripheral surface of the conductive substrate 1 in such a manner. The photosensitive layer formed on the front surface 1a of the conductive substrate 1 is so formed that the max. height of the surface roughness of the surface 1a attains the range of 0.2 to 1.0μm and the max. waving CM of the filter waves attains the range of 0.2 to 0.8μm.
