PURPOSE: To accurately detect the impact area of an imitation gun with a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION: A shooting game device has a projector 2 to indicate a target on a display screen 1a, and an imitation gall 10 to shoot the target. A pair of infrared light spots LS1 and LS2 are indicated on both left and right edges of the display screen 1a by an infrared light projector 4 and when an image of the display screen 1a is taken by a CCD camera 13 built in the imitation gun 10, the positions of the infrared light spots LS1 and LS2 within the image obtained by the CCD camera 13 are detected. The impact area of the imitation gun 10 on the display screen la is detected based on the positions detected. |
