PURPOSE: To obtain a resin composition for a can outer surface-finishing varnish having excellent wet inking properties. CONSTITUTION: This resin composition for a can outer surface-finishing varnish is obtained by blending (A) a polyester resin containing 30-70mol% isophthalic acid, 30-70mol% an aromatic dicarboxylic acid other than isophthalic acid, 0-40mol% a 2-12C aliphatic dicarboxylic acid 0-10mol% to total acid component of a polycarboxylic acid having >=3 valence and 70-100mol% neopentyl glycol, 0-30mol% the other glycol component as glycol components and 0-10mol% 23 valent polyol to total alcohol with (B) an alkyl ether formaldehyde resin in a part. wt. ratio of (A/B)=(95/5)-(60/40). |
