PURPOSE: To obtain a flame spraying material which is a flame spraying material, used for a kiln producing a slag having a high basicity, especially for repairing a converter and capable of enhancing the adhesion in flame spraying without deteriorating the corrosion resistance during use. CONSTITUTION: This flame spraying material consists essentially of MgO and CaO and produces >=60% liquid phase at 2100 deg.C and <=40% liquid phase at 1700 deg.C. The weight ratio of the content of CaO based on that of MgO is 1.8-0.5. The total content of the CaO and MgO is 75-90wt.% and >=80wt.% in 25-10wt.% balance is SiO2 , Al2 O3 and Fe2 O3 . The component in 10-40wt.% in 25-10wt.% balance is especially preferably SiO2 . |
