PURPOSE: To produce a grain-oriented silicon steel sheet capable of obtaining good core loss even being a thick stock and capable of improving the production efficiency and also the transformer producing efficiency at the users by improving domain fractionizing technology of forming wire shaped grooves in the width direction of rolling. CONSTITUTION: After final cold rolling using a high magnetic flux density grain- oriented silicon steel sheet stock contg., by weight, 2.0 to 4.5% Si, in a stage before secondary recrystallization annealing, at the time of forming wire shaped grooves in the width direction of the rolling, wire shaped grooves having shallow grooves with a depth A and wire shaped grooves having deep grooves with a depth B are alternately disposed, and the ratio of the depth, i.e., B/A is regulated to the range of 1.4 to 2.2. Preferably, wire shaped grooves having an angle within 30 deg. from the width direction of the rolling are formed. |
