The invention relates to antibiotic epoxy resin compositions with an excellent durability, which are prepared by adding inorganic antibiotic agents of semi-permanent and innocuous to human body to the epoxy resin. It has been shown by this invention that the mere application of the epoxy resin onto water tanks, water basins of reservoirs, or artificial swimming pools can result in purification of water by the sterilization power thereof, as well as that the life time of the applied epoxy resin is semi-permanent.
