PURPOSE: To provide an indoor unit in which the operation with high reliability and the reduction in size of a body can be performed by forming an electric equipment chamber for filling a drive motor and a control component of a crossflow fan for diffusing cold or warm air into a room with a mechanism for cooling without using a special purpose cooling fan. CONSTITUTION: An electric equipment chamber 11 in which an electric component is disposed adjacent to a heat exchanger chamber 5 in a body 1 is formed to be partitioned, a crossflow fan 13 for diffusing heat exchange air with an evaporator is disposed in the chamber 5, a centrifugal air supply fan 14 is formed at the one side of the fan 13, and the fan 14 is extended to the chamber 11 to be rotated. Thus, the air is forcibly supplied from a vent port 11a to cool a fan motor 9 and a board 10, and the chamber 11 can be effectively cooled by air conditioning control with high reliability without using a cooling fan of a separate component. |
