PURPOSE: To provide a simple and quick fractional determination method of activated matrix metalloproteases(MMPs) directly related to decomposition of matrix components among the MMPs existing in a tissue or humor to enable diagnosis or monitor of pathology such as a disease aggravated by activation of the MMPs, arthrosis, infiltration or metastasis of cancer and pulmonary fibosis. CONSTITUTION: For highly sensitive, highly accurate and quick fractional determination of activated MMPs with simple operation and reagent, a combination of monoclonal antibodies specifically bonding to each MMP and a tissue inhibitor of metalloprotease(TIMPs) or a composite comprising TIMPs and monoclonal antibodies specifically bonding to each TIMP is used. In particular, one of solid phase carrier bonding substance and a label applying substance is a monoclonal antibody specifically bonding to the matrix metalloprotease, while the other is an inhibitor of the matrix metalloprotease, wherein they are preferably used respectively in combination. |
