A method is described of setting panels or other formed articles made of fibres or chip-like particles using cement as a binder, in particular woodwool cement board (excelsior board) and cement chipboard, in moulds (forms). According to the invention, at least one stack of moulds with said plates or other formed articles is placed in an enclosed space, CO2 is admitted to the enclosed space and is kept in said space for a predetermined period. According to the invention, an installation for setting the said panels or other formed article in moulds is provided with a sealable space for at least one stack of moulds for said panels or other formed articles, and the sealable space can be connected to an apparatus for admitting CO2.
