<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which can use at least one small container for an optional load and purifies air by adsorbing/removing water vapor and carbon dioxide. SOLUTION: An purification container 4 divided into chambers 14, 18 arranged vertically and another purification container 6 divided into chambers 16, 20 are included. None of the chambers 14, 16, 18, 20 is in a series flow relationship with any of the others. Each of the chambers 14, 16, 18, 20 includes the bed 22 of adsorbents 24, 26 which can adsorb water vapor and carbon dioxide from supplied air and forms the reversible part of a gas channel extending between the outside places of the containers 4, 6. Valves 38, 44, 52, 58, 70, 72 are associated with the containers, simultaneous air flows are passed through at least two of the chambers 14, 16, 18, 20 during the first adsorption time to be purified, and the simultaneous back-flows of regenerated gas are passed through the same chamber during the second regeneration time.</p> |
