<p>PURPOSE: To provide an infrared detection apparatus by which an erroneous detection can be reduced and which is small and lightweight by a method wherein a malfunction which is generated by using a chopper is eliminated. CONSTITUTION: Condensing-part rocking device 7 rocks a condensing part 5 within a desired range at a desired cycle. When a heat source such as a human body or the like exists inside a range A for a condensing lens 6 while the range A is being rocked, a quantity of infrared rays incident on an infrared sensor 1 is changed, and an output corresponding to the difference in a temperature between the heat source such as the human body or the like and a background is generated from the infrared sensor 1. The output is amplified by an amplifier circuit 2, and it is compared, by means of a comparison circuit 3, with a reference signal to be output by a reference-signal generation circuit 4. The reference signal is set to be smaller than the output, of the amplifier circuit 2, generated when the infrared sensor 1 detects the human body. As a result, the comparison circuit 3 outputs a detection signal in this case.</p> |
