PURPOSE: To satisfactorily record the time series information having consecutive binary bits on a phase transition recording medium with a laser beam by dividing each bit of the information into plural channel bits and differently setting the power of laser beam in accordance with the bit of the information. CONSTITUTION: A disk driving mechanism 5 and a laser driving circuit 6 are controlled by an information processing device 2 in accordance with the time series information which is inputted to an information input part 4 from the outside. By the laser driving circuit 6, the power of laser beam of a laser beam source 7 is modulated in accordance with the control, and an optical disk memory 8 rotationally driven by the disk driving mechanism 5 is irradiated with the laser beam. Then, each bit (the bit time is T) of the time series information is divided into n pieces of integers more than 2 (3 pieces in the embodiment) of channel bits, and the power of laser beam is set to one of different powers 'W, E, B' (W>E>B) at a channel bit unit in accordance with each bit of the information. Thus, the phase transition is surely performed for the optical disk memory 8 of the phase transition recording medium, then the satisfied recording is obtained. |
