PURPOSE: To prevent an oxygen electrode from separating from solid electrolyte by using a perovskite oxide expressed by a specific formula as the oxygen electrode of a high temperature solid electrolyte electrochemical cell. CONSTITUTION: In a high temperature solid electrolyte electrochemical cell using yttria stabilizing zirconia as solid electrolyte, a perovskite type oxide expressed by La1-x Srx MnO3 (herein, 0.35<=X<=1) is used as an oxygen electrode. Therefore, even if an electric current is carried to an anode in about 470mA/cm<2> , since a rise in overvoltage is not seen for about 140 hours, an electrochemical cell which does not present a separating phenomenon of an electrode, can be obtained. |
