PURPOSE: To transmit the optical soliton by using the optical amplifying and repeating transmission line, where the output value of each optical amplifier is practically fixed. CONSTITUTION: The optical pulse to transmit the optical soliton and continuous wave light having wavelength λCW different from center wavelength λS of this optical pulse are synthesized, and the sum of average outputs of each optical amplifier 15 for wavelengths λS and λCW is practically fixed, and the power to be able to maintain the optical soliton is set with respect to the component of wavelength λS.
