PURPOSE: To provide a plate edition system capable of preventing sepn. of photographic information at the time of passing character data and figures into plural consecutive layout regions. CONSTITUTION: Whether a blank 20 laid out in preset plural layout regions 51 is confined within the layout regions 51 or not is judged after the blank 20 for laying out a plate (z) is laid out in the layout regions 51. The character data to be passed into the next layout regions 52 are laid out into the blank layout region 51a in the layout regions 51 when judgment is made that the blank 20 is not confined within the layout regions 51. The entire part of the blanks 20 is then moved to the layout region 51 of the rear side and thereafter, the plate z (is) laid out in the blank 20. |
