PURPOSE: To easily install an optical receiver in the general subscriber terminal without newly laying a power cable by using an existing signal cable. CONSTITUTION: The output signal of a photodetector 2 is inputted to an amplification circuit 3, and the output of the amplification circuit 3 is inputted to a separating circuit 4. The separating circuit 4 outputs the signal outputted from the amplification circuit 3 to only a coaxial cable 10 and outputs the power superposed on the coaxial cable 10 to only a bias circuit 5. The bias circuit 5 supplies the DC voltage inputted from the separating circuit 4 to the photodetector 2 and the amplification circuit 3.
