PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve picture quality by effectively removing a 180 deg. phase error. SOLUTION: A decoder 1 is provided in advance with a reference signal value determined at the time of designing a system, and this reference signal is compared with a transmitted reference signal by an error detector 4, and a 180 deg. phase error is detected, and a switch 10 is controlled by an error signal 50. When the 180 deg. phase error is absent, a transmitted data signal is directly supplied to a trellis decoder 30. When an error is detected, the transmitted data signal is supplied to a phase corrector 20, and for example, when this signal is expressed with plural data bits, and the most significant bit MSB indicates the code of the signal, the 180 deg. phase error is corrected by obtaining the exclusive logical sum of the MSB of the transmitted data signal and 1 of a binary number. Then, a decoded signal is outputted through the decoder 30. |
