PURPOSE: To provide an electric contact with which electric connection can be done only by bringing the electric contact into contact with a printed board and provide an IC socket for which the electric contact is used and which is easy to be replaced. CONSTITUTION: A housing 450 is composed of an upper part housing 490 having an opening 492 and a lower part housing 452 having a hole 456. An electric contact 1 is installed in the hole 456 and have a base 2, a contact piece 10 curved from the base 2 and extended above the base 2, and a contact part projected from the lower end part of the base 2 to the opposite side of the contact piece 10. Electric connection is done by bringing he contact piece 10 into contact with a solder ball 210 of an IC package 200 and bringing the contact part into contact with a conductive pad 502 of a printed board 500. |
