<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector assembly having several thousand contact points between an electronic package and the next package level. SOLUTION: Spring type contact elements (SCE) 104 molded in a small shape are held by an interposed structure, or are directly soldered to a printed wiring board 102 or a module. The individual contact elements 104 are signal conductors or power source lines, and are alternately arranged in a grid orthogonal to the horizontal direction and the vertical direction so that any signal conductors are not adjacent to the other signal conductors to improve an electric characteristic. These spring type contact elements 104 have plural cross-sectional shapes, and are premolded to improve mechanical performance. A retainer includes a large number of SCEs 104, and at the same time has an air reservoir to improve a thermal performance, and can be forcedly cooled by flowing a refrigerant.</p> |
