A folding machine is claimed of the sort incorporating: a cross beam (12) which is fixed and forms a support; a press plate (13) articulated with the cross beam (12) by at least two articulation assemblies (14) remote from each other, which is mobile between an open position and a closed position with respect to the latter; and a locking mechanism (15) able to clamp the press plate (13) in the closed position. Conjointly, the articulation assemblies (14) are fixed remotely at the ends of the press plate (13), each is associated with the locking mechanism (15) at each of them, and, beyond each of these articulation assemblies (14) with respect to the space which they delimit, each is provided with a chock (40) between the press plate (13) and the cross beam (12). <IMAGE> |
