PURPOSE: To provide a device by which efficiency of a microwave is increased and on which miniaturization of the device itself can be attained by improving a transmission passage of the microwave in the device to excite an electrodeless lamp bulb by microwave energy generated by a magnetron. CONSTITUTION: A first cylindrical member 19 and a second cylindrical member 26 in its central position, are coaxially provided in the emitting direction of a microwave generated from a magnetron 16. A coaxial transmission passage is formed, and a coaxial resonator is constituted from a position of a 1/4 length of a wave length a microwave generating position as the starting end, thereby, a separately arranged waveguide is obviated. |
