PURPOSE: To provide a filter having a superior heat-resistance, flame-retardant properties and a water absorbing property, and further facilitate a waste material treatment by a method wherein the filter is comprised of a mixed fiber having a fiber made of biodecomposable resin and a fiber made of not biodecomposable resin. CONSTITUTION: A filter 1 is comprised of a main body frame 2 and filter material 3. As biodecomposable resin, resin of fat and oil group polyester system is changed into fiber and the fiber is mixed with fiber of not biodecomposable resin in a mass ratio ranging from (3:7) to (9:1) to obtain a nonwoven fabric. Then, an insert molding is carried out by applying an injection molding machine and integrally formed with a filter frame. With such an arrangement as above, the filter for an air conditioner may have a superior heat-resistant property, a superior flame-retardant properties and a superior water absorbing property required for the filter and further a life of the filter itself can be extended. In addition, a treatment of the filter material can be facilitated in a waste material treatment stage. |
