PURPOSE: To simplify the operation of increasing the number of slave sets of a cordless telephone set. CONSTITUTION: In the cordless telephone set having a master set 2 connecting to a telephone line 1 and a slave set 20 connecting to the master set 2 through a radio channel, the master set 2 (slave set 20) is provided with a nonvolatile memory 16 (25) that stores slave set information such as a password of a slave set going to be added and a slave set number representing at what order number the added slave set is registered. The nonvolatile memory 16 (25) is provided with a controller 17 (24) controlling the storage of a state of the master set 2 acquiring a telephone line or slave set information of the slave set going to be added in a talking state via the telephone line to the nonvolatile memory 16 (25). Furthermore, the increasing operation is conducted while the master set 2 is talking with a service center.
