PURPOSE: To enhance the reliability of a Scherbius control system by reducing the capacitance of a smoothing capacitor. CONSTITUTION: The Scherbius control system comprises a converter 2 connected with the secondary circuit of an induction motor, a chopper circuit 3 for chopping the output therefrom through a switching element 19, a chopper diode 4 connected with the output of the chopper circuit 3, a capacitor 6 for smoothing the output from the chopper diode 4, and a regenerative inverter 7 for controlling the voltage across the smoothing capacitor 6 to a predetermined level. A current command Iref, based on a set voltage Vref and the voltage Vdb across the capacitor 6, is delivered from a voltage controller 12 to a current controller 11 and compensated by a signal produced by smoothing an output current from the chopper diode 4 detected through a detector 5. Finally, a control command for driving a switching element 20 in the regenerative inverter 7 is produced from the compensated command. |
