<p>PURPOSE: To optimally set driving force for a reel base in response to a tape winding diameter of a reel immediately after tape loading is completed. CONSTITUTION: When loading a tape 20 from a cassette 19 by turning rings 3 and 4, a supply reel base 15 is fixed in rotation by a brake lever 16, and the tape 20 is drawn out from only a take-up reel hub 22 on a take-up reel base 13. Two specific points after starting drawing out the tape and before completing the drawing are detected by operating a 1st detecting switch 8 and a 2nd detecting switch 9 with the ring 4 during the loading. The number of revolutions of the reel base 13 is detected by a photosensor 14 in a period of drawing out the tape 20 in a fixed amt. between these specific points. A tape winding diameter of the reel hub 22 is calculated by a control circuit 27 based on the tape length of the fixed value and the number of revolutions of the reel base 13. The driving force of the reel base 13 immediately after completing the loading is set in response to this tape winding diameter.</p> |
