BRIDGING APPARATUS AT MOLDED JOINT OF CABLE

PURPOSE: To bridge a reinforcing insulator uniformly in the circumferential direction by disposing a fan such that the air can be fed in the tangential direction of the inner face of a bridging tube thereby heating a molded joint uniformly in the circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION: Respective zones 10a-10c at the upper part in a bridging tube 8 are provided with fans 12a-12c in the tangential direction of the inner face of the bridging tube 8 so that the air can be fed along the inner circumference of bridging tube 8. A guide board 20 is provided at the lower part of each fan 12a-12c in order to direct the air from the fan only in the direction along the inner wall of the bridging tube 8 thus preventing the air from striking a molded joint 2 directly. Since the molded joint 2 is prevented from being heated due to the major hot air from the fan striking the molded joint 2 directly, a reinforcing insulator 7 can be bridged uniformly in the circumferential direction thereof.
