Deployable, transparent roof part for motor vehicles

A deployable roof part for motor vehicles with a transparent roof plate has, on its inner surface, a longitudinal strut which extends in the direction of travel and at least on the top side delimits an elongate receiving space for a sunshade reducible to a small storage volume. The sunshade is held on the inner surface of the strut. On each side edge, lying opposite and in parallel to the strut, of the inner surface of the roof plate there are provided fastening lugs for locking the sunshade in its open position. The sunshade is held in its extension direction such that its length can be adjusted with respect to these fastening lugs. Together with the roof plate the sunshade forms a moving unit and therefore does not inhibit the air supply into the passenger compartment.
