PURPOSE: To obtain a method for controlling an inverter driving a load of a rotating machine in which the inverter is operated continuously even during the momentary power interruption an transition can be made stably to normal operation upon recovery of the power. CONSTITUTION: A power interruption detection level B is set higher than the stop level C of a DC voltage VDC from the main circuit of an inverter, and a recovery level A is set higher than the interruption detection level B. Output frequency of the inverter is sustained constant and when the DC voltage VDC from the main circuit of an inverter drops below the power interruption detection level B due to a momentary power interruption, output voltage of the inverter is restricted to several% of rated voltage along a first cushion time 1. When the DC voltage VDC from the main circuit of the inverter reaches the power recovery level A, output voltage of the inverter is returned back to the normal level along a second cushion time 2. |
