PURPOSE: To reduce the number of wires required for multiplexing and transmitting information among plural terminal equipments sharing a single physical transmission medium, to equally and autonomously transmit the large volume of data mutually among respective terminals and to easily expand a system. CONSTITUTION: As the terminal equipments, four VTRs 11 to 14, a video camera 15 and a monitor 16 are mutually connected in a bus shape by a coaxial cable 17 as the physical transmission medium. All the respective terminal equipments are equal and not in master-slave relation at the time of securing a transmission right and respectively perform transmission by a frequency multiplex system by autonomously securing the transmission right (frequency channel). To put it concretely, the respective terminal equipments set unique frequency channels with the other terminal equipments by utilizing the frequency channel for control in common to all the terminal equipments in a time-division manner and mutually exchanging control information with the other terminal equipments and transmit the data among the respective terminal equipments by utilizing the set frequency channel. |
