PURPOSE: To provide a noncontact charge reception device which stably obtain a communication area without the disturbance of an electric field by providing antennas corresponding to the kinds of passing vehicles. CONSTITUTION: A gantry 2 is installed over a road 1 and provided with antennas 3a and 3b for transmission and reception for every lane, and the antennas are set at such an angle that when an automobile or bus enters, a radio wave strikes on the windshield 8 of the vehicle at a right angle. The antennas 3a and 3b and vehicle height sensors 11 are connected to a ground station 4 provided by the road 1 and this ground station 4 is further connected to a host computer. Vehicles 5a and 5b traveling on the road 1 mount on-vehicle machines 6a and 6b inside their windshields 8. Those on-vehicle machines 6a and 6b have stored ID numbers, etc., specific to the vehicles. The ground station 4 is equipped with a vehicle kind discriminating device which discriminator the kinds of passing vehicles according to the detection signals of the vehicle height sensors 11 and outputs the discriminated result to an antenna switch to switch the antennas 3a and 3b. |
