PURPOSE: To confirm whether or not color information inside a document is present and to accurately mount a printing head. CONSTITUTION: When a user instructs the detection processing of the color information from a KB 4, a CPU 1 detects whether or not the color information is present within instructed document information and performs display at a CRT 7 and the detected information is stored in a storage device FDD 11. Or, at the time of preserving document information in the storage device FDD 11, whether or not the color information is present within the document information inside the storage device FDD 11 is detected and the detected information is stored in the storage device FDD 11. |
