PURPOSE: To provide the waterproof structure of meter device for vehicle, which can prevent the direct abutment of water on a shaft part of meter operation unit so as to prevent the intrusion of water into the meter. CONSTITUTION: In the waterproof structure for preventing intrusion of water into a meter with the rotation of a trip knob 24 of a speed meter for vehicle, the trip knob 24 of the speed meter has a shaft part 24a projected outside from a hole 12a of a meter case 12 and a knob part 24b, which is positioned in the tip of the projected shaft part 24a and of which diameter is larger than that of the shaft part 24a. A nearly cylindrical cover member 26 (boot 30) for covering the trip knob 24, of which one end 30a abuts on the whole circumference of a shaft part side end surface 24b1 of the knob part 24b and of which the other end 30b covers the hole 12a, is provided. |
