<p>PURPOSE: To allow charge control groups to exist in toner surfaces and to obtain an electrophotographic toner having a stable electrostatic charge characteristic by associating plural pieces of specific polymer particulates. CONSTITUTION: This electrophotographic toner is composed by associating plural pieces of the polymer particulates produced preferably by an emulsion polymn. method. Amorphous polymer particles are formed by chemically bonding the side chain groups incorporated into the polymer and reactive compd., then associating plural pieces of the particulates, by which the charge control groups are existed on the tone surfaces. The side chain groups are at least one kind selected from a carboxyl group, epoxy group, hydroxyl group, amino group, substd. amino group, phenyl group and halogen atom. As a result, the electrophotographic toner which has excellent electrostatic chargeability and environmental resistance, allows the formation of stable and bright and clear images having high resolution and less foggings and has excellent printing resistance as well is obtd.</p> |
