<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the parastic capacity between a scanning line and a picture element electrode, in an active matrix type liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary capacity line 6 consists of a common straight line 6a provided at the position corresponding to the upper side part of a picture element electrode 5; drawer parts 6b and 6c drawn out from the common straight line 6a along the left side part and the right side part of the picture element electrode 5; and a drawer 6d drawn out from the tip of the right side drawer 6c along the lower side part of the picture element electrode 5. And the common straight line 6a, and the specific parts of the drawers 6b, 6c, and 6d are superposed to the side parts of the picture element electrode 5, and an auxiliary capacity part is formed by the superposed parts. In this case, the interval t1 in the horizontal direction between a scanning line 2 and the drawer 6d is made smaller than the interval t2 in the horizontal direction between the scanning line 2 and the picture element electrode 5. Consequently, the parasitic capacity between the scanning line 2 and the picture element electrode 5 can be reduced.</p> |
