PURPOSE: To prevent a transfer member from being soiled by toner, to remove remaining potential having reverse polarity, and to restrain optical fatigue of a photorecepor. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with the single layer type photoreceptor 20, charge means 28 for charging same, exposure means 14, developing means 25, transfer means 27, voltage applying means applying the attraction voltage thereto for attracting the toner image to the transfer paper during the transfer paper is present and the repulsion voltage for repulsing the toner after the transfer paper passing over, and an optical discharging means projecting light on the transferred photoreceptor surface for erasing the positive and negative photoreceptor residual potential. A photosensitive layer of the photoreceptor 20 contains As2 Se3 , and the photoreceptor is irradiated with the light beam of 400 to 800nm by an optical discharging means. |
