PURPOSE: To provide an image recorder capable of eliminating the occurrence of ozone, preventing irregularities in a toner image and the scatter of toner and using a plain paper. CONSTITUTION: The image recorder is provided with a photoreceptor 1, an electrifying means 2 uniformly electrifying the surface of the photoreceptor 1, an optical system 3 for writing an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the uniformly charged photoreceptor 1, a developing means 4 disposed in proximity to the photoreceptor 1, a belt like recording medium 21 which is interposed between the developing means 4 and the photoreceptor 1 and on which the electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor 1 is developed by the developing means 4 and a transfer fixing means 22 for transferring/fixing the toner image formed on the recording medium 21 to a recording material 8. It is brought into contact with the recording medium 21 in a position before the toner image on the belt 21 reaches the transfer fixing means 22 and the toner image on the recording medium 21 is fixed on the recording material 8, simultaneously with the transfer by the transfer fixing means 22. |
