<p>PURPOSE: To provide a surface inspection apparatus, for a cable insulator, which is excellent in recognizing and by which a flaw, a stuck foreign body and the like can be detected easily. CONSTITUTION: Light from a light source 6 is scattered by a scattering filter 3 which is constituted of a ground glass, a semitransparent acrylic plate, a sheet of paper or the like, and a wide area on the surface of a cable insulator 1 is irradiated with comparatively uniform light. Then, the surface of the cable insulator is photographed by a CCD camera 5 via a prism 4.</p> |
