STEREOSCOPIC TELEVISION BROADCASTING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To provide the stereoscopic television broadcasting system which allows numbers of people to perform simultaneous viewing without any special spectacles. CONSTITUTION: Stereoscopic images inputted by two television cameras are converted and transmitted and a stereoscopic video signal provided by decoding those images is displayed on a color liquid crystal television 22 in time division manner. On the other hand, a binarized image binarizing the half surface of the face image of a viewer 27 on a focused plaue is inputted to a black-and- white liquid crystal television 18 so as to be geometrically matched with the image group of the viewer 27 focused through a convex lens array 23 onto the surface of the black-and-white liquid crystal television 18 as a backlight light source. Thus, respective stereo images are distributed to left and right eyes in time division manner and the viewer 27 can get a stereoscopic image.
