PURPOSE: To maintain toner concentration in developer at a fixed value and to stabilize image density in spite of the change of various factors which vary developing efficiency. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a photosensor 51 detecting the toner density of a reference toner image formed on a photoreceptor drum 21 under a fixed image forming condition a sensor 52 detecting humidity, a switch 53 inputting developer characteristic classified by lots, and a counter 54 counting the number of developing times. Information from the sensors is inputted in a CPU 60, and the CPU 60 controls the replenishment of the toner and developing potential based on the detected result by the photosensor 51 and information from the sensor 52 the switch 53 and the counter 54. |
