摘要 PURPOSE: To enable control of oscillation wavelength with a simple constitution, by arranging a positive and a negative dispersion regions and a first and a second mode synchronizing optical modulators in the order of light travelling, arranging optical gain medium in a suitable part, and installing a control means. CONSTITUTION: A positive dispersion region 1 and a negative dispersion region 2 which have the same amount of dispersion, a first and a second mode synchronizing optical modulators 3 and 4, and optical gain medium 5 are used, and a laser resonator is constituted. These are arranged in the order of light travelling, i.e., the first mode synchronizing optical modulator 3, the positive dispersion region 1, the second mode synchronizing optical modulator 4, and the negative dispersion region 2. Thereby a travelling route of light is constituted. The optical gain medium 5 is arranged in a part of the travelling route of light. A control means 6 which changes the mutual phases of modulation of the first and the second mode synchronizing optical modulators 3 and 4 is installed. Thereby a light having a desired wavelength can be oscillated and the oscillation wavelength can be changed.
