摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a phase comparator which can attain a high processing speed without causing any waveform distortion and also requires no adjustment. CONSTITUTION: An input signal Sg, a differential reference signal CK having higher frequency than the signal Sg, and the inverse of CK are supplied to the OR gates 50 and 51. Then the phases of both circuits 50 and 51 are compared with each other. The OR gate outputs Sa, the inverse of Sa, Sb and the inverse of Sb which are set opposite to each other and undergone the phase comparison are added with resistances by an adder 55. Then the resistance addition outputs Sc and Sd are supplied to an LPF 70 via an operational amplifier 60 and thereby the phase comparison output that undergos the low band conversion is obtained. The circuits 50 and 51 use the ECL logic circuits which can have the fast logical operations, and also the OR gate outputs are added with resistances. Thus the final comparison output is obtained. Furthermore, a logical operation is possible in response to even the high treating frequency and no circuit adjustment is needed.
