<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the bit length of a stop bit regardless of adopting a start- stop synchronization serial interface using only a stop bit of a specific length. CONSTITUTION: A serial interface 10 sends sequentially serial transmission data including a start bit and a stop bit by the start-stop synchronization synchronously with a baud rate clock signal CK. The serial interface 10 outputs a signal ST during the transmission of a stop bit. When the length of the stop bit is reduced to improve the data transfer rate, a signal SP is received. A frequency of a baud rate clock signal CK of a clock oscillator 20 is increased only for a period of the stop bit in response to a signal BR generated by the signals ST, SP to reduce the bit length of the stop bit.</p> |
