PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing a heating element material which prevents reaction between iron powders, etc., that serve as the material forming porous layers and a stacking jig and damage to the jig and which can easily be made to fit various shapes, for use in an electromagnetic cooker. CONSTITUTION: A porous-layer-forming metallic material, such as iron powders, is placed on magnetic metal plates such as stainless steel plates. The plurality of magnetic metal plates (subjects 2 to be baked) on which the porous-layer- forming metallic material is placed are prepared and are stacked via a baking jig 1 made from ceramic fibers with a bulk density of 3g/cm<2> or less. The plurality of magnetic metal plates layered with the ceramic-fiber baking jig 1 in between are baked to manufacture a heating element material for an induction heating cooker with porous layers formed on the magnetic metal plates. |
