PURPOSE: To reduce the storage capacity of transmission data and the transmission capacity by providing a data part and a header part in transmission data and storing the original data or the compression data in the data part according to the data size. CONSTITUTION: Transmission data 1 is made up of a data part 2 and a header part 3. When the data 1 is transmitted, the original data is compressed by using a prescribed protocol. The data size of the compression data and that of the original data are compared. If the data size of the compression data is larger than that of the original data, the original data is stored in the data part 2 and '0' is stored in the header part 3. The compression data is stored in the data part 2 and the data size of the original data is stored in the header part 3 when the data size of the compression data is smaller than that of the original data. |
