OPTICAL CONNECTING DEVICE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE: To provide an optical connecting device and its production for increasing the degree of freadom of optical connection. CONSTITUTION: This optical connecting device consists of an optical transmission substrate 12 in which graded index type rod lenses 10 are stacked and arranged in lots of parallel lines, a planer microlens array substrate 16 fixed to the substrate 12, and optoelectronic parts 14 mounted on the surface of the substrate 16. A diffraction optical element 18 is assembled in the optical path. Moreover, a diffraction optical element is assembled between the optical transmission substrate 12 and the planer microlens array substrate 16.
